Paul probably paced back and forth as he dictated his insights to a scribe. In the apostle’s excitement, the words poured out as his poor scribe tried to keep up with pen and parchment. His sentences tend to be lengthy and complex, and some do require real effort to understand. Luke, however, deliberately researched his subject and organized the material.
